The Seven Wonders of Sassafras Springs

Frustrated with life in Sassafras Springs, Missouri--a town so small that it doesn`t even appear on the map--11-year-old Eben is determined to travel. Over a seven-day period during the hot midwestern summer of 1923, Eben seeks out seven local wonders, from a crooning saw to a bewitched bookcase, to challenge the magic of the Seven Wonders of the World. If he can find them, his father will send him to Colorado to visit relatives and see the mountains.
