Alphabet Of Thorn

Nepenthe, an orphaned transcriptor of the royal library of Raine, does not know why she is so compelled by the book written in the thorny alphabet. She abandons all of her other work to translate the volume, which turns out to be a millennia-old history of Axis and Kane, a conqueror king and his cousin/lover/sorceress. Strangely enough, none of the stories about the two ever mentions when they died....Meanwhile, the newly crowned queen of Raine, shy and uncertain, is slowly becoming aware of her own hidden strength.
